Morgan, Brown & Joy is pleased to announce that partner Shane R. Goodrich and firm administrator William Stocks have been named 2023 Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Excellence in the Law honorees. Goodrich was selected in the category of “Up and Coming Lawyer,” while Stocks was chosen for “Excellence in Firm Administration.”
This award honors the very best professionals in the Massachusetts legal community and recognizes lawyers and support staff for going above and beyond on a regular basis, not just professionally, but in their daily lives as well. Goodrich, Stocks and fellow honorees will be celebrated at a dinner reception and awards program on May 16, 2023.
Goodrich is an experienced and skilled litigator who represents employers in a variety of labor and employment litigation, including claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour violations, Family and Medical Leave Act claims, wrongful terminations and contract disputes. Goodrich also devotes a significant portion of his practice to counseling clients on the full spectrum of employment issues. His work spans across many industries, including retail, manufacturers, federal contractors, municipalities, health care, non-profit organizations, restaurants and small and expanding businesses.
Stocks is the Firm Administrator for Morgan, Brown & Joy. A key member of the firm’s leadership, he is responsible for the financial and administrative affairs of the firm. For over 23 years Stocks has played a crucial role in the smooth daily operations of the firm. As a Certified Public Accountant, Stocks provides a particular financial sophistication that supports the firm’s solid practice. His deep experience with proven business methods allows the attorneys and staff to focus on providing the best possible legal solutions available.
