Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Shane Goodrich to Speak at MCLE’s Webcast, “Updating & Dissecting Employee Handbooks”
Morgan, Brown & Joy attorney Shane Goodrich will speak at the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s (MCLE) webcast, “Updating & Dissecting Employee Handbooks,” on September 14, 2021. Goodrich will discuss how employers can create and maintain lawfully compliant handbooks as an effective tool for management and staff and as a way to prevent avoidable problems. He will address the following topics:
- An overview of legally required written policies;
- Contents of a strong handbook;
- How to address remote work policies;
- Workplace mask or vaccination mandate policies; and
- An expert Q&A session.
Shane Goodrich represents employers in a variety of labor and employment litigation, including claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour violations, wrongful terminations and contract disputes. Shane also counsels employers on a variety of workplace matters, including the preparation of employee handbooks and policies, personnel issues, and compliance with federal and state laws. In addition to his employment law practice, Shane has extensive experience as a commercial litigator in cases concerning real estate, municipal law, and insurance, among others.
