Morgan, Brown & Joy attorney Alexandra Pichette will speak at the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s (MCLE) webcast, “Legal Issues in Returning to the Office in the Post-Pandemic World,” on June 14, 2021. Pichette will discuss how to handle and advise on employee requests for increased flexibility as businesses re-open. She will speak on the following:
- Legal considerations governing employee requests to telework;
- Suggestions for ensuring a safe workplace consistent with guidance from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); and
- Tips for revising employee telework policies in today’s climate.
Pichette is a litigator who represents employers in labor and employment matters in state and federal court and before administrative agencies, including the EEOC, the NLRB, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Office of the Attorney General, the Department of Labor, and California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing and Office of the Labor Commissioner. She defends her client’s management teams from allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour violations, breach of contract, wrongful termination and other employment-related torts. Clients also look to her for daily counsel, and she regularly guides employers in the preparation of employee handbooks and policies, personnel decisions, and compliance with state and federal statutes.
