Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Alexandra Pichette to Participate in MCLE Webinar, “What Employers Can & Cannot Ask During an Interview”
Morgan, Brown & Joy partner Alexandra Pichette will participate in the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s (MCLE) webinar, “What Employers Can & Cannot Ask During an Interview” on April 14, 2022. Pichette, along with fellow MCLE faculty, will discuss best practices for minimizing legal risk, how to maintain the interviewee’s legal rights, and how employers can tailor questions to make the job interview process successful and legally compliant. Specifically, they will address:
- Best practices for approaching the interview process
- The legal issues implicated by questions asked in job interviews
- What questions cannot be asked?
- What questions should or should not be asked?
- What should you do if you are asked these questions?
- What should you do if applicants volunteer information that an employer does not need (or want) to know?

Pichette represents employers in labor and employment matters in state and federal court, in private arbitration, and before administrative agencies, including the EEOC, the NLRB, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Office of the Attorney General, the Department of Labor, and California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing and office of the Labor Commissioner and other state agencies.
