Morgan, Brown & Joy Attorney Lucie Gulino to Present at the Boston Bar Association’s 2025 Employment Law Conference
Morgan, Brown & Joy attorney Lucie Gulino will present at the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) Employment Law Conference on April 3, 2025. Gulino will speak on the panel, “Five Years of Change: Transforming Labor & Employment Laws,” which will provide a high-level overview of some of the major changes to the labor and employment law landscape over the prior five years both in the Commonwealth and at the federal level. Along with fellow panelists, Gulino will cover topics related to the “gig economy,” non-competes, religious exemptions, the Reuter decision, the CROWN Act, and more.
The conference will tackle the pressing legal issues in the workplace, including the future of non-competes and DEI initiatives, employee misclassification in the gig economy, navigating the state and federal landscapes of employee leaves and accommodations, and understanding immigration compliance and employee protections. As a litigator and counselor, Gulino focuses on defending clients in claims related to discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. A part of the firm’s litigation team, she handles the full spectrum of pre-litigation activities including research, discovery, due diligence, documentation, motions, witness examination, and depositions. On behalf of clients, Gulino presents before Federal and State courts and appears before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD).
