Morgan, Brown & Joy Adds Jennawe M. Hughes as an Associate
Boston labor and employment law firm Morgan, Brown & Joy announces that Jennawe M. Hughes has joined the firm as an associate. Hughes advises and defends employers in matters related to the employer-employee relationship, and handles a range of claims related to employment discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation and wage and hour issues. Additionally, Hughes conducts workplace investigations and provides assessments of allegations of wrongdoing.
A part of the firm’s litigation team, Hughes is involved in the full spectrum of pre-trial activities including research, discovery, due diligence, documentation, motions, witness examination and depositions. As a proactive counselor, she advises clients on daily employment matters surrounding compliance as well as employee policies and handbooks.
Prior to joining the firm, Hughes was an associate in a mid-sized law firm resolving employment disputes. Her experience includes working in a regional mid-sized firm handling franchise and employment litigation and arbitration. She began her career as a civil litigator defending businesses in contract disputes.
Before her legal career, Hughes served five years of active duty in the U.S. Army, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, where she earned the Bronze Star on both deployments. She currently serves in the Army Reserves.
Hughes earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School, and a B.A. from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
