Morgan, Brown & Joy Adds Alexandra Burroughs-Hood as an Associate

Boston labor and employment law firm Morgan, Brown & Joy announces that Alexandra Burroughs-Hood has joined the firm as an associate. Burroughs-Hood brings civil litigation experience and will counsel employers in a variety of labor and employment law matters. 

Burroughs-Hood advises clients on legal issues related to employee hiring, accommodations, discipline, and termination. She also provides guidance on operational matters concerning employees. In her work on behalf of employers, Burroughs-Hood provides legal advice, due diligence, written position statements, and other support to clients responding to and resolving claims of workplace discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Her experience also includes representing clients in administrative matters involving federal and state agencies, such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD).

Prior to joining the firm, Burroughs-Hood was an associate with a mid-sized, regional law firm based in Boston, working on cases involving employment-related allegations as well as liability insurance coverage and civil litigation matters. Before going into private practice, she served as a judicial law clerk in the Rhode Island Superior Court, drafting judicial decisions for superior court judges that encompassed various issues, including administrative appeals and constitutional issues.

Burroughs-Hood received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire.
