Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Tracy Thomas Boland Speaks at AOEP’s COVID-19 and Employment Law Webinar
Morgan, Brown & Joy Attorney Tracy Thomas Boland was the featured speaker for the Association of Employment Professionals (AOEP) webinar, “COVID-19 & HR/Employment Law – What You Need to Know,” on May 8th, 2020. Boland covered COVID-19 related employment law and human resources issues. Specifically, she discussed furloughs and layoffs, unemployment benefits and the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which provides two new types of emergency paid leave for COVID-19-related issues.
Boland is a Partner at Morgan Brown & Joy, LLP. She counsels clients on the full range of employment law issues from hiring to firing including, performance management, investigations, wage and hour issues, leaves of absence and the accommodations process, discrimination and harassment issues and investigations and reductions in force. Boland also drafts and revises employee handbooks, employment agreements and severance and settlement agreements. She particularly enjoys supporting her clients with novel and emerging legal issues such as pay equity and the ever-growing number of paid leave laws. Boland’s experience spans clients across many industries such as private clubs, healthcare, banking, non-profit and technology.
