Morgan, Brown & Joy Elevates Associate Catherine Scott to Partner

Boston labor and employment law firm Morgan, Brown & Joy announces that it has elevated associate Catherine (Cat) Scott to partner.

Scott is a litigator and labor and employment lawyer defending and advising employers. She helps companies navigate workplace allegations such as employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act, breach of contract, and wage and hour class actions, among others. In addition to appearing in federal and state courts, she appears before government agencies including the EEOC, MCAD, and Department of Labor.

In recent years Scott has grown her labor practice to include collective bargaining and other labor matters. Her experience includes representing companies in both representation and unfair labor practices proceedings at the National Labor Relations Board and Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations, as well as private labor arbitrations. She also has experience as lead negotiator on behalf of employers in collective bargaining.

“Cat is an exceptional advocate, who is dedicated to helping clients navigate the ever-shifting labor and employment law landscape,” said Jaclyn L. Kugell, Morgan, Brown & Joy’s Managing Partner. “Cat will undoubtedly continue to elevate our firm’s brand and strengthen our team, and we are pleased to welcome her to the partnership.”
